BUSFREEZE 2010 IS GO!
REPORT: BUSFREEZE #1 - 2009
If you attended BusFreeze in 2009 you will be aware that the inaugral event nearly got swept away in the preceding storm. Both wind and rain caused its own chaos on Saturday night & Sunday morning and with debris strewn across the motorway networks, driving conditions to the event were very hazordous indeed. It was hardly surprising then that numbers were somewhat less than predicted. Oddly enough DubFreeze was to witness a similar 'pleasure' just 3 months later with a snow storm! That said, it was great to see so many take advantage of the cheap camping (just £5 per vehicle) at BusFreeze and we hope you will take advantage of it this year too.
At the time we described BusFreeze, somewhat cheekily, as being 'like DubFreeze, only taller'. That, as it turned out, wasn't even close! Whilst the buildings remained unchanged, virtually everything else altered in one form or another. Only the Show and Shine could be said to show some resemblance, although the "Vans Only" area became a static display of awesome vehicles, both truly rusty and not. The floorplan was altered drastically and the extra space created utilised to incorporate static trade vehicle displays. These, combined with the specialist demonstrations happening throughout the day and the turnover of the main entrance to national clubs worked really well to create something quite new and pleasing. How do we know? Because you told us so and to many it was like a brand new event, which of course it was and we had always intended it to be so. Read / view the full photo report.
